Hi everyone,
Well, today was a 15.6 km jaunt with just beautiful weather - nice morning for a run. I seem to be able to make the distance and my time, while behind where I hoped it would be, is certainly enough to finish in a timely manner.
OK - so, our contest. We have one respondant to the question of last week: In what film did the Badfinger Song Come and Get it appear and who were the stars of that film. I can hear the howls of nepotism but James Mackin answered correctly that the 1970 film the Magic Christian, staring Peter Sellars and Ringo Star featured the Paul McCartney written song. James will receive a CD with each song of the day for the entire training period I have undertaken for the Prague run. Since that is the only prize I will be giving each week, James cannot enter this weeks contest.
To that contest. Today's song of the day was by a band called Derek and the Dominos entitled Layla. Perhaps some of you have heard of it? In any case, "Derek" composed the song about a particular person - who was that person?
Tonight I drive to Chatham and will run there tomorrow. I will update you further, gentle reader, as to my progress.
