News flash:

From Race Officials:

  • Offical Time: 2:31:56

  • Offical Pace: 7:14

  • Real Time: 2:28:20 (time from crossing start line to finish line)

  • Real Pace: 7:12

In the picture to the right, I am the fellow in the upper left of the photo, barely descenable, with the blue shirt with red jacket, tied around my waste, just 2 seconds shy of the finish line. It is far clearer if you click on the picture and see the full resolution version. The girl is Harvey's to explain, not mine.

From my perspective:

  • Feet: sore

  • Beer: Cold and wet

  • Feeling: Fantastic

I am extremely happy with this result. Going to be tied up with Dieter and Harvey for the next several hours but will post a detailed entry about the run in short order, likely Sunday morning.

Good job, Dad! What's next? A full marathon?

A great achievement Paul, the boys must be proud as hell!! I am also impressed as hell. I started training properly a few months back and can't imagine it myself but I'm hoping by the next one I can run with you :)
