Well, gentle readers tonight was certainly fun. I am up in Bracebridge in the Muskoka area of Ontario, lovely place and I decided to do a 7.8 km run which some collegues here suggested. They also warned me about the hills and that the footing might be trecherous.
They were right.
Try to imagine running through 8 km of slush and puddles up to your ankles and you will have an idea of the experience. Hey, nobody's fault, winter in Central Ontario. Still I feel as if I have run 50% more than that - it was tough. Add to that a couple of killer hills and a wrong turn. Boy, staying in my room and reading an essay on economics would have been the smarter play.
Ok - so, song of the day, as I hack and gasp away all the collected fluid in my lungs (still got this cold, damn!), Misunderstanding by Genesis.
Tomorrow, day off. I am going to let the roads dry up before I try another Bracebridge run - perhaps next week.
Talk to you soon!
