After a day off...

With 93 days to go today was catch up day. Boxing day was a no activity day, and after two days of celebrating with family, I really didn't have the energy for much yesterday.

Today, the 27th of December, was a different matter. This morning I started of with a 7.3 km run and this afternoon my trainer, Andy, came over for some circuit training. The training today was a bit intense. A basic circuit consisted of:

30 x squats with a 43kg barbell on my shoulders
30 x sit ups
30 x lateral pulldowns with 30 kg on the universal gym
30 x pushups

I was urged to complete three circuits with 30 seconds rest in between each group. After that we did 10 of the "stupid medicine ball thingie" which Andy made up better never thought to name for your benefit, oh fateful reader. Finally I was complelled to do the plank for 75 seconds. There there was a lot of stretching and a lot of panting.

Oh well, tomorrow we continue. Today's song of the day from the run is something by a band from Kansas City called The Rainmakers: One More Summer. The route map is shown below. Update you again tomorrow!
