Sick as a dog.

Let me preface this blog with a comment - I don't do sick well.

I think I caught a bit of a cold from my son last week and that, coupled with the long run on Sunday has left me full of the "notwells". In fact, I feel horrible.

Still, after a sweaty night in bed. I was able to do a workout this morning and added a new exercise to my "mini-workout" - 3 sets of 15 thrusters with 20 lbs dumbells. A pretty horrible experience but does work the legs, core, arms and sholders.

I then proceeded to mount the old treadmill and hacked out a 3.5 km run. I felt really good after all that but it seems to have caught up with me a bit this afternoon.

My song of the day is a bit obscure but fun. In 1971 Don McLean released an album called American Pie - and almost everyone has heard the cover song - Madonna, sadly, did a bastardization of it as well. What is less known is that there is not one bad song on this album - it is nearly, in my opinion, a perfect LP with uniformly great tracks. One song stands out though, not as the best of the best but as the most unusual. This one is called Everybody Loves Me, Baby and it is truly unique. That song presented itself via my iPod at the 2.5 km point this morning and is adopted as our Song of the Day...

I will get back to you all once I can get out of bed...

Paul
